Repairs to old A9
Repairs to old A9
From between Inch and Inchmagranachan. This shows the great stone infill where the banking between the old A9 (up the hill) and the current A9 lies, at the foot of the grey piles. Major floods last year tore great swathes of the embankment away and the engineers took months shoring up the banks to try to stop a repeat. The old A9 itself is still impassable as some of the bridges had their foundations seriously undermined. Taken from the B898, but in the same square.
