This pillar is one of two, on either side of the turning from the A361 onto the minor road to Churchill. They seem to be the old gatepiers for the entrance to nearby Sarsden House. This 15-bedroom property is currently owned by former local MP Sean Woodward, who transferred from the Conservatives to Labour and became a minister. (He is in the process of selling the property.)
