Church and graveyard at Newtownstalaban
Church and graveyard at Newtownstalaban
Described in Co. Louth Archaeological & Historical Journal 1977 as 'a neatly-kept burial ground surrounded by a tidy pathway', this ancient site is now almost impenetrable. Only the gables survive of the medieval church, the west gable, covered in ivy, is at left in the photograph.
