Outhouses, Goose Eye
Outhouses, Goose Eye
These outhouses were used until the late 1970's. Bryan Eastell, then landlord of the Turkey Inn, needed a drainage system for his brewery. He sold shares to local householders of £2,000 each to cover the total cost of £20,000. This provided a shared system of septic tanks and the residents of Goose Eye were at last able to have indoor toilets.
