The home of Hugh Miller (1802-1856) who became famous for his research on the fossils found around his home town of Cromarty. The cottage is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. Update: as of March 2009, the cottage is threatened with closure as part of a retrenchment exercise by the Trust.
