Lead flue, Rushup Farm
Lead flue, Rushup Farm
Lead-miners built flues to convey gases from smelt-furnaces and to allow extraction of the additional metal that condensed on the walls. This brick-built flue above the mineshaft at Rushup Farm is breached by collapses like this one in a number of places.
