The plaque says "Rebuilt 1914, Rev F Davies, Vicar". Rev Davies was vicar of St Mary's Church from 1901 to 1929, and although at first sight this building has the appearance of a former chapel, it was in fact the church hall for St Marys, until superseded in 1963 by the present building (see TQ2550 : St Mary's Church Hall, Reigate). It was until recently a showroom for a sauna company.
