Scalpay lighthouse
Scalpay lighthouse
This is the site of one of the first four lighthouses in Scotland, begun in 1787. The lamp was first lit on 10th October 1789. The original lighthouse still stands as a white tower incorporated into the current buildings, to the left of the foghorn in this shot.
