Inscribed stone on Piperstown windmill
At least three stones on the interior face have dates inscribed on them, of which this is the most prominent. Above '1756' the name, apparently reading 'MATTHEW (?)', has been deliberately obliterated. The date '1740' looks to have been squeezed in later.
