Pandy Rhodogeidio
A Pandy was a fulling mill. Fulling involved the processes of scouring, thickening and stretching of cloth. Pandy Rhodogeidio was opened in 1826 and employed at one time a staff of four. Pandy was famous for the manufacture of Welsh Quilts. Its 19th century owner, William Hughes, used to travel to fairs and markets selling quilts. It appears that the mill, which has long been disused, is now being converted into a dwelling. The new dwelling is to be named Hen Felin Ddwr (=old water mill).
