When really large railway engines are moved between one preserved railway & another (in this case, Black Prince, from Cranmore to Toddington) they go by road. A ramp is built between the lorry trailer & the running rails and the locomotive is winched up on to the trailer. Preparation of this can be seen in the photograph.
