Funicular Railway, Hastings, East Sussex
Funicular Railway, Hastings, East Sussex
The railway has been conveying passengers to the cliff top since 1902. There are two carriages and the weight of one coming down raises the other going up. Up to 1976 it was done with the aid of water power though since then it has been electronically assisted.
