Market Cross at King Sterndale
Market Cross at King Sterndale
The engraving on this ancient market cross, on the village green at King Sterndale, is almost eroded, but seems to read:
This ancient market cross was repaired by the parishioners in commemoration of the coronation of their majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. May 12th 1937.
