In Memoriam
Plaque commemorating the french soldiers and sailors who were imprisoned at Norman Cross affixed to the column that used to stand beside the Great North Road until some low life stole the bronze eagle on top of the column. The new column was re-erected with a new eagle beside the A15 during the A1M upgrade. Peterborough museum holds many artefacts attributed to the french prisoners of war.
