Fforest Farm
No longer a farm, the memory of the past lives on in a poem by the Anglo-Welsh poet Gillian Clarke whose grandmother lived here, in the house above the bay.
"It was our job at Fforest to feed the hens
with cool and liquid handfuls of thrown corn.
We looked for eggs smuggled in hedge and hay,
and walked together the narrow path to the sea
calling the seals by their secret names."
From: Cofiant, in Letting in the Rumour by Gillian Clarke, 1989
