St Michael's Church - East Coker
A late C12 church with C15 and C19 work. The central tower was deemed unsafe in 1790, and was replaced with the present tower in the northeast corner.
Inside there are memorials to the buccaneer and explorer William Dampier (1652 - 1715), and the author and poet T.S. Eliot, whose ashes are buried here.
