The River Avon viewed from the public footpath known locally as the L'Aune path, a popular local walk along the river. The river is also called the Aune. The river rises on Dartmoor, and is fast flowing with a rocky bed, and is here shaded by mature beech trees. It can look quite different after heavy rain up on the Moor.
