Bilston Viaduct
The Bilston Viaduct over the Bilston Glen near Loanhead is now a walk/cycleway. The viaduct was built in 1892 and once carried the Glencorse branch of the old Edinburgh, Loanhead & Roslin Railway, which took coal and limestone from the mines in Midlothian. It was renovated for its new use in 1999.
