St Benedict's church - C13 priest's door
As the name implies, a priest's door is the door which in medieval times was used by the priest (and by the priest only) to access the church - commonly a narrow door located on the chancel south wall. One or a number of mass dials can often be found close-by.

. The building dates from the 13th century, with the tower added in the 14th century, but was extensively restored in Victorian times. The narrow priest's door > Link
has survived but the north aisle, the former arcades of which can still be seen outlined in the wall > Link
