Q5304 : The corrie headwall
3 km from Banage South, Kerry, Ireland

The corrie headwall
The sandstone forms a dramatic upper headwall to the glacial tarn. Weathering and mass movement has created conical shaped scree slopes at the base of the headwall. There are also many small waterfalls tumbling over the cliffs, although they are hard to see in this photograph.
