Anascaul valley
Looking northwards up the valley from the parking area. A rough track can be seen on the left. By following this track you will eventually end up on top of the rounded peak in the middle distance. The sandstone cliffs form a bottleneck through which a glacier would have flowed. This part of the valley really does show a classic U shape, and is stunning to behold.
