Boulder clay cliffs of Filey Brigg
Boulder clay cliffs of Filey Brigg
Looking north from TA125815 from Filey beach. The deeply serrated cliffs are of soft boulder clay left behind by the retreating ice at the end of the last ice age. They rest on a firm platform of older Jurassic sedimentary rocks.
