At the annual round-up of sheep on Sheep Rock some of the animals would make every effort to escape capture! Sheep had to be put on, and taken off the Rock by hauling them up from or down into waiting yoals on the end of a rope. The last sheep was taken off the Rock in the mid-1980s and since then the steeply sloping 4 acres have been left just for the birds.
