Falsgrave signalbox
Falsgrave signalbox
A4 Pacific 60009 'Union of South Africa' reverses its empty carriages toward the sidings and turntable where the locomotive will be turned round. The train was an excursion from Crewe to Scarborough which ran every Friday in August 2008, picking up at various stations in Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
Falsgrave signalbox is one of the biggest mechanical boxes left in the country, while the semaphore signals on a gantry across the tracks are an increasingly rare sight, too.
