End of the Line - The Worcester, Dean Forest and Monmouth Railway
The railway that never was. Begun in 1862 by Oseman Ricardo (son of the MP David Ricardo) owners of Pauntley Court. He excavated into the hillside along the edge of Collin Park Wood and subsequently built the embankment still visible here. The company soon collapsed and work was halted.
