Bridge over the Thames, Marlow
Bridge over the Thames, Marlow
This fine bridge across the Thames at Marlow was designed by the architect William Tierney Clark (1783 - 1852) and was constructed between 1829 and 1832. Clark also designed the original Hammersmith Bridge in London - though only the pier foundations of this bridge survive. Clark's most famous bridge however is the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, a suspension bridge which links Buda to Pest in the Hungarian capital.
