NH0225 : Gleann Gaorsaic, a hanging valley

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Carnach, Highland, Great Britain

Gleann Gaorsaic, a hanging valley
Gleann Gaorsaic, a hanging valley
The glen drained by the falls of Glomach. At 340m it's been left behind by the glacial deepening of Glen Gaorsaic, the adjacent glen floors are 250m apart. Hence the falls and gorge.
