Gate and perimeter fence, Orford Ness
Visitor to Orford Ness who are following the 'red route' from the jetty approach the main cluster of buildings to the south of the airfield through these gates. The building to the right is known as the 'information building'. This was the site HQ in the early 1940s, later the Atomic Energy Authority Constabulary station and the site telephone exchange. Today it houses a number of displays about the history and geography of Orford Ness.
