Kaskelot, a sailing ship registered at Bristol, waiting for high tide in the river Avon beyond the lock. In the distance are Windsor Terrace, centre, and Brunelís Clifton Suspension Bridge. Brunel also enlarged William Jessopís dock entrance locks in 1840 Ė there were two as originally constructed in 1809; these were again modified by Thomas Howard in 1873
