I attended Eversley School from 1949 to 1955, finishing as Head Boy in September Term 1955. My wife Patricia and I went to the centenary day in 1997(?). Sadly, Arthur Bottomley, my hero, had recently died and of course ECCH Heron and Mr Raffe were long since gone. Eversley made a greater impression than even my public school, Radly College, and it was a shame not to meet any of my contemporaries at the centenary. Tricia and I spent a couple of days looking round the area, riding bikes over the common and down to the harbour. We had a comfortable stay at The Swan and were very impressed by the standard maintained by the town - a lot to do with Adnams, of course! A wallow in nostagia, perhaps, but we enjoyed the exercise a lot (poor grammar, Peter - ECCH!) My brother Paul also attended Eversley; though not as happily as I. I would like to hear from any of my contemporaries. Where are:- The Haycrafts Mark Cook The Leedham-Greens Saltmarsh Gillett, and son on? With best wishes, Peter Howard Salcombe Devon
