Forvie National Nature Reserve: marram grass and distant rain showers
Forvie National Nature Reserve consists mainly of a huge sand dune system that is gradually moving Northwards. In the Southern part of the reserve the dunes are highly mobile but in the Northern part they have been consolidated by marram grass, as here, or by heather and other heathland species.
