TQ8038 : Entrance Range of Sissinghurst Castle
near to Sissinghurst, Kent, Great Britain

Entrance Range of Sissinghurst Castle
Originally the servants quarters and stables this is almost all that's left of the magnificent, double-courtyard Elizabethan mansion built in the late sixteenth century. That this building (and TQ8038 : Sissinghurst Castle Tower behind) survived is due to Vita Sackville-West and her husband Sir Harold Nicholson who bought the property in 1930.
