Entrance to Treffos
Entrance to Treffos
Treffos was the home of the Williams family, of which James Williams, the squire-parson and lifeboat pioneer and Sir Kyffin Williams, the artist, were members. One of James Williams' daughters married Sir Andrew Crombie Ramsey the geologist who defined and named the Cambrian rocks of Anglesey. Ramsey, a Glaswegian by birth, is buried across the road at Llansadwrn churchyard.
