SN8721 : Plantation & Pillow Mound
4 km from Crai, Powys, Great Britain

Plantation & Pillow Mound
Several blocks of larch and pine interspersed with broadleaves dot the upper slopes of the Crai valley. Dozens of pillow mounds also lie diagonally across the slopes - the subdued contours of one can just be made out in the foreground of this shot. These artificial rabbit habitats were probably last used in the mid 19th century.
