Former Mine Office, Boulby Ironstone Mine
Former Mine Office, Boulby Ironstone Mine
The Boulby Ironstone Mine was established in 1903. The first drift was 200m or so south across the A174 NZ761186 with a second drift adjacent to this building. The pit yard containing workshops, heapstead, picking belt, sidings etc. was located on the site of the present Boulby Potash Mine NZ760180. The mine office now seems to be used as a holiday chalet. View east with Staithes in the distance.
