Lower Cretaceous cliffs at Worbarrow Bay, Isle of Purbeck

The recent rebranding of this stretch of Dorset coastline as "The Jurassic Coast" is not entirely accurate as the exposed strata are from a much wider timespan. This is a Wealden succession with fluvial clays, silts, lignite beds and sandstones.
