SO7875 : River Severn by Severnside South looking downstream

taken 16 years ago, near to Bewdley, Worcestershire, England

River Severn by Severnside South looking downstream
Although the river is quite wide here it is only normally navigable by canoes and rowing boats and the like. Attempts to restore full navigation so that motor boats & canal boats can get here has been fiercely resisted. They can only go just slightly upstream of Stourport-on-Severn. The last lock on the river is downstream of that town.
