NM3395 : Rum: Mausoleum

near to Harris, Highland, Great Britain

Rum: Mausoleum
Rum: Mausoleum
The Bullough mausoleum is on the cliff top at Harris, on the opposite
side of the island to Kinloch Castle and the usual landing place,
fortunately the wind was right (rare!) for a landing there.

The mausoleum you see today is a greek temple of the early 20th century.
Nearby there was a previous, partly underground and tiled establishment
which, it is said, the owner had blown up after someone likened it to a
public lavatory, the tiling is now starting to emerge from the ground
and looks as if it should be excavated.
