Ledburn: Feeder stream for the Grand Union Canal
Ledburn: Feeder stream for the Grand Union Canal
A light dusting of snow follows the plough lines around the scrub-lined route of this feeder stream for the canal. Before the canal was built this was probably a tributary of the River Ouzel. See SP9123 : Water junction for the confluence of the two. Viewed looking eastwards from the Well Lane bridge, the white house on the horizon to the right is in Ledburn village.
