One of the Kempton Great Engines
One of two engines built to supply London. These were the largest of their kind built in the UK for waterworks service. Rated at 1008 HP and standing 62 feet tall from the base of the pumps to the top of the cylinders they are truly awesome machines. The engines ceased work commercially in 1980 and it has taken many years to get one of them into a working condition again.
