The post Christmas snow of the previous few days had completely disappeared by midday on New Year's Day as this picture from an upstairs window shows. It's a mild day with broken cloud and is almost spring-like. Compare with SK4641 : Snow Covered Town Centre from just a few days ago when we were gripped in the depths of winter.
