After leaving Inchfield Moor, the ancient packhorse route is constrained by walls. The route opens out onto the hillside above Gauxholme where is winds dramatically down to valley level. This is an 'adopted' track and most likely carry higher rights, although it is currently recorded on the Definitive Map of public rights of way as a footpath
