This footpath starts beside the Old Toll House (NS3083 : Old Millig Toll House) on Sinclair Street, Helensburgh, and runs WNW along the hillside, above the upper limits of Helensburgh; near the start of the route, the footpath passes a NS3083 : Car park near the Hill House (it is possible to pick up the route from that point). The photo shows the Upland Way on its approach to the nearby woods.
