I work as a Coastguard Officer at Portland MRCC in Weymouth, and have lived in Bridport, West Dorset with my wife since 1999.After discovering Geograph earlier this year, I have been scouring my old albums for suitable images, but will now be out and about filling in some of the many gaps in West Dorset.
Geograph is a great project and deserves to be better known. For me it brings together all of my life-long interests, photography, maps, walking, aviation, the sea and pubs. Aspects of all of these will continue to appear in my pictures - just so long as I can get out of the pub...
When out walking I mainly use my Canon Power Shot A70 digital camera which is robust and pocket-sized, and for film I use an ancient Chinon CX SLR which replaced an even older 'CS. I did have an Olympus OM-10 for a while but I find modern cameras too clever for their own good, so reverted to technology I can control!
