About Me
Based near Wolverhampton. The idea of thirty kids in the school computer suite arguing about the geographical features of one of my pictures makes the project worthwhile and useful....(and amuses me!). (Schools please e-mail me for higher resolution files of required pictures to use on your big screens in the computer suites).
Visitors expecting competition standard photography will probably be disappointed. For this collection the geography is more important than the photography, so many images have been obtained in less than helpful light, and submitted regardless.
I am presently using a Fujifilm S5600 and a Fujifilm S1800 (from October 2010). A Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 is now defunct! I broke it :-(( ... replaced with Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 October 2010, which I use about 60% of the time.
If members or viewers can suggest additional information or corrections for the texts of my images (particularly regarding historical or agricultural details) do please contact me. I do request that all users of my images on their own web-pages should show the full Creative Commons Licence and my name; a link to details is on every image page.
800-1024 pixel images of my photos from 2007-2010 can be uploaded to this site on request. Sometimes these can be considerably better in quality than the original 640 pixel image showing on the photo page.
Note: Just in case anyone Googles me, I did not write books on golf or die recently, and do not have my own photography website, and do not teach the Alexander Technique...or indulge in any craniosacral procedures... or live in Dorset ... and as for this: "... and Roger Kidd, who is recorded as being at James Cittye, Virginea on February 23rd 1623. This Roger Kidd was one of the very earliest settlers in the New World" - the whiskers aren't THAT silver :-))
I am not on Facebook and I don't tweet!
Note: all original images dated 19.12.07 (Wren's Nest/Dudley) have gone awol - sorry!
