Geograph - photograph every grid square

I found Geograph back in Jan 2008 after seeing it mentioned on Yahoo as one of the new websites worth looking at. My reaction was, "I have a few photos I can post on there", and after getting the hang of posting I was hooked. Since joining, the number of photos I contributed has passed 20,000. It has rejuvenated my interest in history, which I hated at school, and more than once I have been called a local historian. Over the last few years I have traced pillboxes along the old stop lines, railways running over the downs and disused canals, which prompted me into writing articles, blogs and making personal maps of where I have been. By looking at OS maps and working out where to visit next, Geograph has opened a whole new world I never realised was there. I never seem to be without a camera (even a smart phone) so I can get a photo to record. My photos I see as my little contribution to history. I hope you enjoy them.

I have been through a few cameras as during that time starting with a Canon S2 Is for a while (Till I dropped it) up dating with a Canon EOS 350D and a couple of lenses changing it for a Canon EOS 60D I also have a Canon SX200 as a pocket camera for day to day use.
