"Just going out to take a few shots for Geograph." My wife stays indoors because she doesn't share my enthusiasm for tramping round the countryside taking pictures. "You go ahead" is usually the answer - with raised eyebrows.There is something satisfying about getting pictures and putting them on a site like this and I have been doing it for a couple of years - ever since I throttled back on a career in journalism and documentary film-making.
Pictures have always been part of my working life - and they still are. I take a lot of photographs in London and then use them as part of my work as a City of London guide-lecturer. A Powerpoint presentation is an excellent way - and excuse - to show people some of the photographs which are also on this site.
I spend a lot of time in London now, taking parties and groups on guided walks around what is one of the most fascinating and exciting cities in the world. If you want to find out more then go to Link
