Typical thatched cottages are a common sight in north west Essex. These stand in Cow Street, Henham.text/html2006-01-23T22:44:18+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/2226John V Nicholls51.970271 0.873780TL9734 : Obelisk milestone and horse trough, Nayland.

The obelisk milestone giving miles to/from London, Colchester, Hadleigh, Chelmsford and Bury [St Edmunds]. The stone horse trough commemorates the crowning of King George V in 1911.text/html2006-01-23T22:36:40+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/2226John V Nicholls51.947499 0.773361TL9031 : Signpost near railway bridge over the line to Sudbury

Patience Bridge crosses over Roxwell Brook. It is well-named because it must try the patience of the local authority. The left-hand parapet has had to be completely rebuilt and the right-hand one repaired many times. As the bridge is on a bend it probably gets frequent vehicle strikes.text/html2006-01-13T23:25:21+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/2226John V Nicholls51.733310 0.369166TL6306 : Cottage at north end of Cooksmill Green
