        <description>A strong southerly wind was causing drifting of the deep snow. The broken wall (seen in http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/900894 ) descends the field from High Ashgill towards the South Tyne valley. The partially wooded field is below West Ashgill and beyond that the outline of Noonstones Hill is just discernible.

This is a colour photo with unadjusted colour and lighting. There was just enough light to highlight the patterns sculpted by the wind in the snow.</description>
