This is the Former Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh. It was designed by David Bryce and opened in 1879 on the site of another hospital, George Watson's (which was a private school known as a hospital), which was moved to Archibald Place nearby, until it moved to its current location, Colinton Road, Merchiston.

The Western quadrangle elevation of the Old College, Edinburgh. I guess it was completed in 1820 and the gold-plated clock added in 1837. I also guess that the clock was renovated in 1997 for its 160th anniversary.
